Specific Needs Yoga Pods

A Specific Needs Yoga Pod is a small group of students who have a similar issue to address. Topics include: Neck & Shoulders, Hips & Knees, Digestion, Low Back, SI Joint, Scoliosis, Diabetes, and more. Working together in a small group can provide additional support to each student and is more cost effective than a private lesson.

You must fill out an application to begin the registration process. You will give an overview of your medical history and select the topics you are interested in.

Priority is given to students with a current Iyengar yoga practice. The pods are very prop intensive so you must have a foundational practice in place to get the maximum benefit. It you are not a regular student, we suggest you take a few of the Friday Fundamentals classes–this will help you get acquainted with the studio, using props, and Iyengar yoga in general. If that class time does not work for you, email us for an alternative route to becoming eligible to participate.
